Project Description:

Beginning in Spring 2025, this ongoing collaboration with the Aerospace Museum of California brings together teams of Computer Science and Liberal Arts and Engineering Studies students to develop an immersive virtual reality space exploration experience from the ground up. Once completed, the experience will become a permanent exhibit at the museum.

The experience places users of all ages in the role of an astronaut traveling to a space station to repair critical damage caused by a recent solar flare. Through engaging missions, hands-on problem-solving, and original characters, story, and animated assets, the project aims to inspire curiosity about space exploration while fostering interest in STEM fields.
