Expressive Technologies Studios
A unique triumph of Cal Poly’s Learn by Doing spirit, the Jack and Felicia Cashin Expressive Technology Studios (ETS) is an interdisciplinary creation, exhibition, and performance space that brings together the cutting-edge of technology and liberal arts. The ETS is located on the first floor of the William and Linda Frost Center for Research and Innovation (181-104).

What it Offers
The ETS boasts a wide array of industry-standard features and technology to support educational activities, technical workshops, student and faculty independent work, and performing arts productions and has fostered collaborations between LAES, Theatre and Dance, Art and Design, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Music, and Architecture.
- Main studio with design, performance, and viewing areas with portable stage components
- Two dedicated VR/motion capture/audio engineering and production editing bays
- Control room
- Equipment storage room and rental desk
- Dolby Atmos surround sound system
- Barco 4K projector with 3D capabilities
- Twenty-foot projection screen
- LED theatrical lighting system
- 3D Audio Mixer/Development board
- Motion capture and VR technologies
- Equipment rentals are available for LAES and partner students and faculty only.
